At their June 11 meeting commissioners Don Suppes, Mark Roeber and Mike Lane awarded bids for equipment and engineering services.
For Road and Bridge District No. 1, the bid of $149,985 was awarded to MHC Kenworth of Grand Junction for a tandem axle end dump truck. The amount budgeted was $150,000.
The bid for a motor grader for Road and Bridge District No. 3 was awarded to Wagner Equipment Company of Grand Junction for $263,433. The amount budgeted for the motor grader was $240,000, but the trade-in value is expected to bring it in at budget.
The bid for engineering services related to final plans and schematics for a river access, parking area, gravel boat ramp and rock river structure at the Delta County Fairgrounds in Hotchkiss was awarded to Odisea of Paonia, Jeff Ruppert, principal, in the amount of $12,500. The services will be funded from the Conservation Trust Fund.
