Dale William Kuhn of Delta died May 12, 2018, at HopeWest Hospice in Grand Junction. He was 88.
Visitation was held May 15 at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 16, at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Delta, with Pastor Greg Teel officiating.
Mr. Kuhn was born March 3, 1930, in Aurora, Kan., to Bryan and Sylvia (VanLaningham) Kuhn. He spent his childhood in several different states.
On May 13, 1950, he married Dorothy White in Atwood, Kan. They moved to Delta in 1952 and shared 46 years of marriage before her death.
Mr. Kuhn attended Calvary Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, playing horseshoes and taking care of his garden, especially his roses.
He is survived by three sons, Gary (Barbara) Kuhn of Holcomb, Kan., Jerry (Cheryl) Kuhn of Aztec, N.M., and Danny (Verna) Kuhn of Delta; one brother, Valore Kuhn of Arizona; one sister, Jackie Spence of Delta; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; daughter, Cindi; son, Kenneth; and four brothers.

During a preliminary hearing in Delta District Court on Tuesday, Jan. 15, Judge Steven Schultz found probable cause for second degree murder charges against Heather Jones.
Jones previously faced three counts in the shooting of Ryan Redifer in Paonia on Jan. 12, 2018 -- assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree and violation of a protection order.
