Delta County Economic Development is partnering with Delta County and the State of Colorado to host an informational meeting about Opportunity Zones -- a "once-in-a-generation" chance for both investors and communities. The Opportunity Zone (OZ) program was enacted as part of the 2017 federal tax reform package. The incentive is a potential deferral, reduction or elimination of certain federal capital gains taxes when eligible investments are made within the identified OZ.
This presentation will be of specific interest to attorneys, CPAs, realtors, investment fund managers and bankers. Come learn about the Opportunity Zones in Delta and Montrose counties, and how clients with capital gains can take advantage of this new program.
Trainers include Rebekah Elliot of Snell & Wilmer, LLP, Andrew Teske of Koskin, Farina, Kampf, PC, and Jana Pensky, program manager for the state's effort to help Colorado communities take advantage of the newly created opportunity zones.
Seats are limited, so register today! Please register online at: https://deltacountyed.org/event-3369547 or contact the Delta County Economic Development office at 970-874-4992 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
On May 1, the Cedaredge board of trustees met for a special meeting to appropriate an additional $35,000 from reserves as a loan to the golf course fund.
These funds will be used to purchased a used turf utility vehicle, a spray rig, and to make improvements to the kitchen and dining area of the restaurant.
