The new year brings big changes for Delta County Memorial Hospital's physician billing department. Beginning Jan. 1 physician billing will again be done in-house for all new services. Patients will no longer receive statements from Reventics (ER and radiology) or AR Services.
A press release provided by the billing department explains:
"We understand that during the past couple of years it has at times been difficult for our patients to adjust to the outsourced billing companies. Due to the hard work of our new director of physician billing, Darla Ballard, and the dedication of our billing team, we are now at a place where we can once again provide the billing services that our patients deserve. Delta Physician Billing will take out the confusion over the many statements received when seeing our providers, and become your 'go to' for your physician billing needs."
Department staff consists of several billing specialists and certified medical coders who will be available to answer all of your billing questions. Billers and coders are knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to help you understand the billing statements you receive.
The department's main office is located in the oncology building on the Delta County Memorial Hospital campus. Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please stop by or feel free to call 874-2470 with any billing questions you may have. Some clinic locations have coders on site who are able to assist you as well. Department staff can answer questions about Reventics (DCMH ER & Radiology Group), Athena (physician billing), AR Services, A1 Collections and facility billing.
"If we are unable to answer your questions at that time, we will research it, find a solution, and call you back with the information in a timely manner (within 24 hours)," the press release continues.
For your convenience, Delta Physician Billing offers multiple payment options to include automatic monthly payments, online bill pay (pay via the portal listed on your statement), payments over the phone (no checks over the phone), payments by mail, or payment in person.
