Feb. 24:

A 72-hour notice to remove tag was placed on a vehicle parked in the roadway in the 1500 block of H-50 Road.

An officer responded to 1102 Grand Avenue to take a report of criminal mischief.

Trevor Garrett Wilson, 26, of Delta was arrested and jailed on a warrant with no bond.

Trevor Garrett Wilson, 26, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged Possession of a Schedule 2 controlled substance, obstruction of a peace officer and resisting arrest.

An officer responded to a residence in the 200 block of Rich Street on a report of criminal mischief.

A single vehicle accident involving a utility pole occurred at 1600 and I Road. No injuries were reported or observed. The semi truck involved was driven from the scene.

Officers responded to a residence in the 1600 block of H-38 Road for a disturbance.

Feb. 25:

Officers responded to the Delta Post Office, for a security check. Linda Jo Howell, 68, of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged trespass.

Officers responded to Butch's Café, 1560 S. Main, for a single vehicle accident involving a stop sign. No injuries were reported or observed.

Code enforcement issued a verbal warning for littering to the occupants of two residences in the 800 block of Palmer Street.

An officer responded to the 1200 block of E. 3rd Street on a report of a hit-and-run accident involving a fence.

An officer responded to the 1300 block of Aspen Way on a report of a two-vehicle accident. One vehicle was parked and unattended at the time.

Code enforcement responded to a residence at 1090 E. 5th Street on a report of piled up bags of "garbage" and blowing trash coming from the property. Matthew Stuart Swain, 24, of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged littering.

An owl statue was reported stolen from the front yard of a home in the 600 block of Dodge.

Officer W. Hammon and K9 Raico were requested to assist the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) with suspected drug activity.

Officers were in the area of 2nd and Main Street when they contacted a vehicle with possible fictitious license plates. Ezequiel Silva Garcia, 23, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of a weapon by a previous offender, special offender - firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia. Garcia was also issued a ticket for alleged displayed fictitious license plates, driving a motor vehicle while license revoked and owner operated an uninsured motor vehicle.

Feb. 26:

An officer responded to Young Life, 1009 E. 13th Street, on a report of burglary and theft.

An officer responded to a residence in the 400 block of Silver Street on a report of Found Property.

Code enforcement located a dog stuck in a fence at a residence in the 600 block of Grand Avenue. The dog was untangled from the fencing and a notice left for the owner.

A 17-year-old female of Colorado Springs was arrested and jailed on two warrants with no bond. The female was transported to Grand Mesa Youth Services.

Feb. 27:

Code enforcement picked up a dog running loose in the 700 block of 1560 Road. The owner, Kodee Lee Michelle McCoy, 24, of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged running at large prohibited and city animal license required.

An officer responded to Quality Inn on a report of a burglary.

Officers responded to Walmart, on a report of a male and female fighting in the parking lot. Giovanni Perez Ramirez, 23, of Olathe was arrested and jailed for alleged harassment as an act of domestic violence. Yecica Velen Preito-Perez, 19, of Olathe was arrested and jailed for alleged third degree assault as an act of domestic violence.

Feb. 28:

Officers responded to a residence at 702 Main Street on a report of a disturbance. Tyler Shane Hardin, 27, of Hotchkiss was arrested and jailed for alleged violation of a protection order and third degree assault as an act of domestic violence.

An officer took a report of a possible missing elderly couple. The couple was located and safe in another community a few hours later.

Code enforcement responded to a residence in the 500 block of E. 10th Street on a request for a welfare check on a dog and a complaint of littering (not picking up dog feces).

A burglary and theft was reported in the 900 block of E. 5th St.

Officers responded to the 1600 block of H-38 Road for a suspicious vehicle. Tyler Charles Parker, 23, of Austin was arrested and jailed for alleged driving under the influence (alcohol).

Stephanie Gisele Rose Roesler, 27, of Grand Junction was arrested and jailed for alleged unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

March 1:

Officers responded to Tamarac Park on a report of an assault. Ethan James Roberts, 27, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged first degree criminal trespass, criminal attempt and violation of bail bond conditions.

Officers responded to a disturbance at Maverik.

Officers responded to a residence in the 800 block of Dodge Street for a disturbance. Lea Marie Trickel, 29, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged harassment as an act of domestic violence, false imprisonment and obstruction of telephone service. Bobbi Jo Trickel, 42, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged harassment as an act of domestic violence and obstruction of telephone service.

Reminder: The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Feb. 26:

The K-9 unit responded to a request from a Delta business requesting a sniff of a company vehicle. The employee who drives the vehicle had a positive urinalysis screening for methamphetamine.

As a result of a traffic stop on Hartig Drive near Delta, Tresa Wright, 37, was issued a summons for obstructing a peace officer, obstruction of view and a defective stop light.

The sheriff's K-9 team and officers from the Cedaredge Police Department assisted a parole officer at a residence in Cedaredge. Following a narcotic sniff, the parole officer's client, Jerry Sherrill, 30, was taken into custody. Illegal narcotics, paraphernalia and weapons were allegedly recovered.

Feb. 27:

The sheriff's office took a report on some suspicious activity surrounding a photograph posted on Facebook.

School administrators contacted the sheriff's office about a suspicious incident that occurred on a school bus near the Cory store. During their investigation, deputies reviewed video captured by the school bus camera.

Because of suspected criminal activity, K9 Oxx completed an exterior air sniff of a vehicle stopped by deputies. After a positive indication, a search of the vehicle recovered trace amounts of methamphetamine. Deputies later learned one of the passengers tossed illegal narcotics/controlled substances out the window prior to the traffic stop.

Deputies responded to a report of a cold burglary on Buena Vista Road near Delta.

Feb. 28:

Deputies responded to Delta County Memorial Hospital for a female who was being treated for injuries that occurred during a traffic accident at the corner of 1800 Road and Homestead Road. Ronda Kilcoyne of Delta was arrested by the Colorado State Patrol for driving under the influence of drugs and an outstanding warrant.

A Hotchkiss area resident advised the sheriff's office of a possible fraud.

Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident that occurred on private property in the town of Eckert.

An investigation into a burglary on Sunridge Drive, Delta, resulted in the arrest of Ariel Franklin. She was charged with burglary of pharmaceuticals, theft of a controlled substance, violation of bail bond conditions and violation of a protection order. She was transported to Delta County Memorial Hospital after allegedly consuming stolen pills that were in her possession.

March 1:

Deputies were advised of a cow on Highway 50 near the Montrose County line.

Deputies were asked to check on the welfare of a child at an address on Powell Mesa Road near Hotchkiss. The child was found to be in good health.

Deputies issued a summons for a dog running at large in the area of Indian Head Lane, Crawford.

March 2:

The Delta County Sheriff's Office and Hotchkiss Marshal's Office assisted the U.S. Secret Service in locating a person of interest at an address in Hotchkiss. The male had allegedly made online threats to poison President Donald Trump.

Deputies and officers from the Delta Police Department responded to a report of a suicidal male at an address in North Delta.

Deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence on Creek Side Road, Eckert. Witnesses reported Grover Weeks had pulled a rifle on another individual. He was arrested for prohibited use of a weapon (alcohol) and felony menacing.
