The sheriff's office assisted the BLM with a case of criminal mischief. A large boulder was damaged with white paint.
Ashley Rowls, 26, was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
A burglary was reported at a home on Ash Mesa Road, Delta. The suspect broke into a camper trailer on the property and caused significant damage. A few small items were also reported missing.
Deputies responded to the report of a theft on Lakeview Road, Crawford. The incident remains under investigation.
Benjamin Perez, 20, was arrested on an outstanding warrant at the Delta County Jail.
A Delta resident reported a handgun was missing from his mother's house and he believed it had been stolen.
At 12:30 p.m., deputies received a report of a missing female from a home on 2550 Road near Cedaredge. She was located in good health at about 4 p.m.
While assisting parole officers with a house check, deputies discovered suspected methamphetamine. Charges are pending against Shelby Walker, 20, of Delta.
A runaway juvenile female was reported from a Cedaredge area home. After investigation, the juvenile was located and returned to her parents.
Crystal Reinbold, 29, of Fruita was arrested on an outstanding warrant at the Delta County Jail.
Deputies took a report of a possible elder abuse incident in the town of Eckert. After further review, it was determined the incident occurred in Denver and was being investigated by the Denver Police Department.
Family members reported the theft of several items from a loved one's Crawford home.
Deputies were dispatched to a home in Austin in response to a report of an out-of-control juvenile. Mental health professionals arrived and took responsibility for the teen.
Deputies took a complaint of elder abuse involving the elderly individual's finances.
Deputies and Delta firefighters responded to a structure fire on A50 Road, Delta, at about 5:40 p.m. The fire was contained in the chimney. There was no damage to the chimney or to the house.
At about 1 a.m., deputies and firefighters responded to a structure fire near Hotchkiss. The structure was unoccupied and was used for storage. It was a complete loss.
The theft of a four-wheeler and a pop-up camper was reported from a residence on Jarvis Road, Austin. The owner was able to provide VIN numbers for both items. The information was entered into the NCIC/CCIC database, but neither item has been located.
A burglary was reported from a residence on 1600 Road south of Delta. An individual who had been keeping an eye on the property noticed a lock had been cut from an outbuilding. The property owners, who are out of town, will compile a list of missing items when they return.
Deputies located a juvenile male who was a fugitive from justice and transported him to Grand Mesa Youth Services for booking.
Deputies were dispatched to a home on Grange Road, Paonia, for a male party in need of mental assistance. With the help of mental health professionals, it was determined the man was a possible danger to himself. He was transported to the hospital.
After responding to a disturbance on Antler Court, Crawford, deputies took Kimberly Reece, 42, into custody for violation of a protection order.
Deputies responded to the area of Cedar Mesa Road and Cactus Park Road for a suicidal male. He was transported to Delta County Memorial Hospital where he met with mental health professionals.
A Cedaredge woman reported her boyfriend had stolen her vehicle. Deputies determined both parties had paid for the vehicle and the disagreement was a civil issue.
At about 10:40 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a residence on Highway 92 near Hotchkiss for a domestic incident. Charges are pending against Justin Rundle, 34, for second degree assault, criminal mischief, obstruction of telephone service, harassment, and violation of bail bond conditions.
The theft of several items from a carport attached to a home on G Road was reported. Stolen items included an air compressor, battery charger and plastic box full of tools.
At about 5:30 p.m., a single vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of 2200 Road and Highway 92 near Delta. The 17-year-old driver was not injured.
During a preliminary hearing in Delta District Court on Tuesday, Jan. 15, Judge Steven Schultz found probable cause for second degree murder charges against Heather Jones.
Jones previously faced three counts in the shooting of Ryan Redifer in Paonia on Jan. 12, 2018 -- assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree and violation of a protection order.
