The Democrat-led legislature is just giddy over their new-found power. Two Boulder Dems are sponsoring HB19-1261 that will empower the Air Quality Control Commission to make "rules" in the interest of dealing with climate change and lowering greenhouse gases. No need to worry about that messy legislative process; the commission, whose members are appointed by the governor, can just pass rules and they will apparently be binding on all of us. The governor wants x number of electric cars sold by dealers before they are allowed to sell a gas powered one. Now the guv could just step back and let the commission make a rule. And how about all those polluting wood stoves? Contact your legislators and have them oppose this.
