DHS students will be exploring Alaska

DHS students Logan Cooper, Trevor Ledesma, and Aiden Barrios are getting the opportunity of a lifetime. Thanks to private donations, these students will get the chance to go to Alaska next month to install solar panels.

These particular students are part of a solar energy training class this year and have been working with solar energy ever since. Ledesma was part of the solar energy training class last year and was a TA this year. Barrios and Cooper had just joined this year and have been working hard to help save energy.

Aiden Barrios, a senior at DHS stated, "I'm very excited to go to Alaska because it's a beautiful state and there's a lot of beautiful things to see." Barrios has also stated that he is very grateful that he has this great opportunity to go.

Along with Barrios, Cooper and Ledesma have learned tremendous skills while working in this class. Barrios hopes to have a career in solar energy training as he leaves high school. He hopes to study solar energy in college.
