Applefest organizers are appealing to dog owners to remember that the annual Cedaredge celebration is a giant event filled with noise and crowded venues. Dog owners who bring their animals to mingle with the crowds must keep their pet on a leash.
As for parking, visitors are reminded that West Main Street and streets bordering town park will be blocked off to accommodate booths and food vendors. Locals who can walk to Applefest without driving are encouraged to do so. Please be respectful of residential areas near the celebration and do not block driveways.
There is a large municipal parking lot north of West Main Street between NW 2nd and NW 3rd streets which offers easy access to downtown vendor booths via a pedestrian walkway.
And the Old Slaughterhouse at 230 East Main Street is offering all-day parking on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors can park at the Old Slaughterhouse on Saturday for $5 while local business employees can park for free that day.
