Donovan "Don" Doss Story of Rock Hill, S.C., died suddenly Sept. 20, 2018, at Piedmont Medical Center. He was 83.
He was born Dec. 2, 1934, in Macon, Mo., to Alonzo and Oma (Doss) Story.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and worked as a coal miner at Somerset Mine until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Fay Story; sons, James Story of Gastonia, N.C., and Brian Story of Colorado; daughters, Rachelle (Tom) Walker of Lake Wylie, S.C., and Rena Williams of Rock Hill, S.C.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Lon "Junior" Story of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and a sister, Laurene Story Lewis of Paonia.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Desmyn Williams; and one sister, Aloise Hutchinson.
