Election Day is Nov. 7. Ballots have been mailed to electors residing in the Town of Crawford and within the boundaries of the Delta County Ambulance District. Ballots can be returned by mail, or as Election Day approaches, at the county courthouse, North Fork Annex in Hotchkiss or Crawford Town Hall. All three locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day. In addition, the clerk and recorder's office in the county courthouse will be open Saturday, Nov. 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Stand-alone 24-hour drop-off locations can be found outside the Cedaredge Library, North Fork Annex and Delta County Courthouse.
The county elections office reports a number of ballots have been returned as undeliverable. If you haven't seen your ballot, verify your address at www.govotecolorado.com. You can also verify receipt of your ballot at that site. Results will be posted online at www.deltacountyindependent.com.
Two of the four marijuana questions on the November ballot were narrowly approved by voters in the City of Delta. Measure 2F allows the establishment of medical marijuana centers. Measure 2H permits the establishment of medical marijuana cultivation, testing, research and manufacturing facilities.
