A few years back Skylyn Webb was one of a kind in most any sport she attempted. She could do it all ... and often did. Webb's athleticism gained prowess the later she progressed through the college ranks.

Webb's most recent accomplishment came in the recent NCAA Division ll Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Javelina Stadium, hosted by Texas A&M University, Kingsville.

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs track & field program wrapped up the 2019 outdoor season with Webb earning the crown of national champion in the 800m on the third day of the championships in Kingsville.

According to the University of Colorado Colorado Springs Sports Information Director Eric Mason, Webb made history, again, on the third day with the national title and a winning time of 2:06.96. Her closest competitor, Grand Valley State's Rachael Walters, was in the hunt for the title for the first 600m of the race but fell off the pace when Webb accelerated the final 200m to pull away. With the win, Webb earned her a First Team All-American honor, and is now the back-to-back outdoor women's 800m national champion. Webb's feat is just the fifth time that a female student-athlete has won back-to-back titles in the 800m during the outdoor season.

Webb caps off a stellar collegiate career that includes three national champions, four First Team All-American honors, four RMAC Track Athlete of the Year awards, four USTFCCCA All-Region selections and eight All-RMAC First Team selections.

The Mountain Lions claimed their first ever conference women's championship with six national qualifiers, four All-American honors, and one individual national champion.
