Four wins in one week for Bulldogs baseball team

The Hotchkiss Bulldogs are on a five-game winning streak after winning four straight games last week.

On April 2 the Bulldogs defeated Olathe, 10-0, in five innings. Jamison Yanish was 2-2 with two RBIs and scoring three runs, including his first home run of the season; Marvin Guereque was 1-3 with two runs. In the second inning, Guereque hit a three-run homer to give the Bulldogs a 7-0 lead.

Jesus Macias was 1-3 for a double, Elysah Shaw was 2-3 with two RBIs, and Brian Gonzalez was 1-3.

On the mound Gonzalez allowed four hits and struck out 11 in five innings.

The Bulldogs scored seven runs in the second inning on their way to a 14-8 win over Cedaredge on April 3. Presley Pene had a triple and four RBIs in the win with Yanish producing three RBIs.

On Saturday, the Bulldogs swept a conference doubleheader at Rangely (2-5). In their 12-2 win in five innings the Dogs had nine hits and four errors. Yahir Chavez was 2-4 for one home run and three RBIs; Pene was 2-4 with one triple and two RBIs.

In their 11-6 win over the Panthers, Pene was 2-3 for three RBI, a triple and a home run. On defense, Gonzalez, Guereque and Will Scarlett were all credited with a double play.
