Brandon Daniel Sullivan was born on October 15, 1986 in Laramie, Wyoming. He passed on April 22, 2020. The burial was held on his ranch April 26.
Brandon spent his life on his family ranch at Cottonwood Mesa. Brandon was the middle of three siblings. He attended Hotchkiss Schools and was a Valedictorian of the 2005 class. He loved to wrestle growing up and was part of the 2004 Hotchkiss state wrestling championship team. Brandon graduated from Colorado School of Mines with a bachelor’s of science in Mining Engineering in May 2009, and was presented the Old Timers’ award for excellence by the engineering department. He worked in the Coal industry locally and in Texas, and was a project manager at Lightworks Fiber since 2015.
Brandon represented the “Cowboy Way.” He loved his horses, cows, dogs and most importantly spending time with his children.
Brandon is survived by his parents, Dan and Jayne Sullivan; his children: Reagan, McCoy and Kennedy. He is also survived by his sister, Bridgette (Justin) Cowger; nephew, Braden; niece, Mcenna; and his brother, Patrick. Out of his large extended family of 27 aunts and uncles Brandon was the family favorite.
Brandon’s family will always remember his hard work ethic, devotion to his family, and his strong faith. He purchased his ranch in 2015 with diligent savings. Most important was his love of his children and his dream to have them to ranch alongside him. He was such a bright light and will be deeply missed by anyone who was fortunate enough to know him.
A memorial fund for the Sullivan children has been established at Bank of Colorado. Contributions may be made at any of the branches.
