The girls from Girl Scout Troop 10739 spent time on April 6 putting up Pinwheels for Prevention in the Delta County court house lawn in support of Child Abuse Awareness Month. Many community agencies have also put up their blue pinwheels in support of the movement to build strong families.
The Girl Scouts used the pinwheel project as a service learning opportunity to help CASA of the 7th Judicial District get the word out that our community can help end child abuse when we help support families through activities that build positive relationships. Not only did the girls earn a special pinwheel patch, they offered their own solutions to help build strong families, like watching movies, making cookies together, and getting to know their neighbors! CASA and Girls Scouts encourage families to shine bright and make a world where all children can have a safe childhood.
