From January to July 2019, the Grand Mesa Arts & Events Center (GMAEC) will host a wide range of local, regional and national touring artists. Each concert will feature singer/songwriters and emphasize the storytelling process.
The concerts are sponsored by Starr's Guitars. David Starr owns the guitar shop in downtown Cedaredge and also serves as vice president of the GMAEC board of directors. Starr is convinced that audiences relate to music and songs that tell a story.
"I've heard from lots of local concert-goers that one of their favorite aspects of many of the concerts we've hosted in the past is the 'stories and songs' format. Most good songs have a compelling story behind them and folks like to hear about that."
Seats may be reserved by calling Starr's Guitars at 970-856-2331, stopping by the shop at 250 West Main Street in Cedaredge, or going online to www.starrs
guitars.com. No paper tickets are issued. A will-call list will have customer names at the door on the day of the show.
Here is the concert line-up for the first half of 2019. Some of the details are subject to change so to keep up to date on concert activities, to donate to the center, or to volunteer visit the GMAEC website at www.grand mesaartscenter.com.
