The Radio Room proudly presents The Scones in concert Thursday, Dec. 20. The Radio Room is located at 1310 Ute Avenue in Grand Junction. Doors open at 7 p.m.; the show begins at 7:30 p.m.
The Scones, known for their high energy, big harmony, and original tunes which thread the needle between Americana and rock, have found a special niche for themselves in the Colorado music scene. Featuring wild acoustic guitar gymnastics, solid rhythm section, flute, banjo and four singers, the band keeps its audiences entertained from beginning to end.
Primary writer Rick Stockton is a two-time Kerrville New Folk Songwriter finalist as well as winner of other songwriting accolades.
Members of The Scones include Rick Stockton on guitar, banjo, and vocals, Helen Highwater on bass and vocals, Harry Knipe on drums and vocals, and Melanie Jean on flute, vocals and percussion. Each artist brings his own individual influences to the band to create the unique Scones sound.

On Dec. 2, officers of the Delta Police Department responded to a report of an assault. Officers spoke with a 64-year-old male with a bleeding injury on his neck.
