At the American Legion District 11 Fall Conference hosted by American Legion Post 190 in Crawford on Sunday, Oct. 21, the ladies of the newly formed Harry A. White Ladies Auxiliary 65 of Delta received their official charter and list of charter members. Members of each American Legion post and auxiliary in District 11 were present to witness the charter awarded by American Legion Ladies Auxiliary President Laurie Kuntz. Also present for the presentation were American Legion Department of Colorado Commander Robb Smith, Department Adjutant Charles "Pat" Smith, Department Junior Vice Commander Greg Jackson, Sons of the American Legion Detachment Commander Ron Noakes and District 11 American Legion Commander Jimmy Davidson.
The new auxiliary has 12 charter members and is looking forward to recruiting additional members to assist the Post in advocating for veterans, educating our citizens, mentoring youth, and promoting patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security.
Mothers, wives, daughters, sisters, granddaughters, great granddaughters, and grandmothers of American Legion members or of deceased veterans who served in time of war may be eligible to join the new auxiliary. Call Debra Jackson at 399-3027 for additional information.
