Lamar Community College will be Dylan Hollenbeck's next residence when a new school year begins. Hollenbeck signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Lamar and has chosen to pursue a career in biology and chemistry to keep him occupied when not playing baseball for the Lopes.
Hollenbeck's choice of Lamar was an easy selection. "I visited the school and thought it was a good school. All the coaches had the right intentions."
So far this season, in four games, Hollenbeck's batting average is .500 (8 for 16). He's scored three runs and batted in four runs with two triples to his credit. He is 1-0 on the mound with 6.1 innings of work, allowed six hits, five runs and struck out five batters.
Todd and Nichole Hollenbeck are Dylan's parents.
