Ian Chaffee of Grand Junction died Oct. 28, 2017, in Mesa County. He was 24.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, at Presbyterian Church of Delta. Interment will follow at Mesa View Cemetery. After the graveside service, please join the family at the Presbyterian Church for food and fellowship.
Ian Michael Chaffee was born in Delta Dec. 28, 1992, to Anthony and Elizabeth "Celeste" Chaffee. He spent his childhood and attended school in Grand Junction, graduating from Grand Junction High School.
He was of the Catholic faith and was a former member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Grand Junction.
He enjoyed art, writing lyrics, fishing, video gaming, football and running. He especially enjoyed longboarding and free-running.
Mr. Chaffee is survived by his father, Tony (Angel) Chaffee; mother, Elizabeth (David Lane) Chaffee, all of Delta; brother, Joshua Chaffee of Grand Junction; grandparents, Bill and Mary Jo Chaffee of Delta; stepbrother, Christopher (Angela) Parson of Calhan; stepsister, Jyssica (Jeremy) Roberts of Pueblo West; uncles, Christopher Chaffee of Delta, Vince (Toni Mohler) Chaffee of Parachute and Jese Uy of the Philippines; aunt, Belina Uy of the Philippines; and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Dean Chaffee; and his grandparents, Uy and Stampa.
