There's a nationwide movement to call a Convention of States through Article V of the U.S. Constitution to propose constitutional amendments that will limit the scope, power and jurisdiction of the federal government, and return stolen authority back to the states. In 1787, Colonel George Mason feared that our federal government might someday get out of control, and insisted on adding this Article V provision to the Constitution. This constitutional tool gives authority to state legislatures to bypass the federal government and fix major problems. Now, is the time to invoke Article V to propose amendments for term limits of federal officials and judges, limiting federal government power, and to impose federal fiscal restraints.
The founders wisely gave "We the People" a tool, I call it a gift, to reign in an out of control government. In Colorado, 25,400 citizens have signed the COS petition to our state legislators because we are concerned about the future of our country. If you share our concerns, please learn more and sign the petition to your state legislators at www.conventionofstates.com.
