In the upcoming election for U.S. Congress, those of us on the Western Slope have the opportunity to replace Scott Tipton, who is one of Trump's yes-men, who doubts that climate change is caused by humans, and who has reliably voted for the interests of the oil and gas companies that finance his campaigns.
On the other hand, Diane Mitsch Bush does not accept corporate PAC money, relying instead on small donations from individuals. She will fight climate change by supporting jobs in renewable energy and she will help restore sanity and decency to our national leadership. She has experience working for rural Colorado as a former two-term Routt County commissioner and former three-term state House representative where she was known for working across the aisle for evidence-based solutions. She was named Legislator of the Year by the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union and the Colorado Livestock Association in 2015 and by Conservation Colorado in 2017. When you meet her, you can sense her integrity, that she is one of those rare people running for office in order to be a public servant. I encourage you to do your own research, including Diane's website: Dianefor Colorado.com.
