A few holiday craft shows have already come and gone but some big ones are still in the offing. It's time to mark the calendar so as not to miss local and regional bazaars.
First up is the Cedaredge United Methodist Church's Fall Festival on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The church is located at the intersection of NW 3rd Street and NW Aspen Avenue. The festival features community arts and crafts, a white elephant table, and a church-wide bake sale. Congregation members will be serving breakfast at 8 a.m. and lunch at 11 a.m. for exhibitors and shoppers. There's still time to reserve a table for $25 at the Methodist Thrift Store, 205 West Main Street in downtown Cedaredge. Crawford will also host a holiday event on Nov. 30. The town's annual potluck and auction runs from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Crawford Town Hall, 425 Highway 92. Also in Crawford the Fruitland Mesa Women's Club will host its annual arts and crafts fair in the community room at Crawford Town Hall. Dates and times are Friday, Nov. 23, from 10 a.m.-8 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 24, from 9 a.m-1 p.m.
Horizons Care Center's Christmas Bazaar will run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, November 17. The center is located at 11411 Hwy 65 in Eckert. This year's theme is "Treasures from the Heart." Featured will be unique ethnic goods from local artisans including care center residents, staff, and families. Funds raised will go to support the residents' Christmas party. And it's not too soon to mark the date of the huge City of Delta Holiday Craft Fair which is set for Saturday, Dec. 1, at Bill Heddles Recreation Center at 531 Palmer Street in Delta. More than 75 vendors are anticipated to display holiday items. For more information, call 970-874-0923.
