Joseph's family would like you to know -- without his permission -- his work on earth was done on Oct. 1, 2018. He has gone for his epic ride in Heaven.
Joseph loved brunettes, potatoes and well done steak, horror movies, camping, stars, explosives, fighting, shooting pool, the color black, chess, music and any motorsports. Not necessarily in that order.
Joseph died due to miscalculated landings, knack-knacks gone wrong, not dodging fast enough and sudden stops -- Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy. Joseph despised funerals, narcissists, team sports and purple.
Memorial service will be held on Nov. 3 at First Presbyterian Church, Grand Junction. Time to be determined.
Joseph was born on April 24, 1974, to John R. Silva and Sandra D. Townsend Silva in Westminster, Colo. At the age of 2, the family moved to Delta where Joe attended school and graduated from Delta High School with the Class of 1992. Later he received his degree from the School of Hard Knocks.
On Aug. 14, 2004, Joe married Jessica Beth Lovato in Delta.
Joe is survived by his wife, Jessica Silva of Grand Junction; his mother, Sandy (Paul) Cross; his father, John Silva; his grandmother, Jackie Townsend; sister, Monique (David) Salido; nephews, Tyler Salido, Anthony (Akayla) Salido, Zachery Lovato; sister-in-law, Sara Lovato; and many other relatives and friends.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
