The Seventh Judicial District Nominating Commission has nominated three candidates for a district court judgeship created by the resignation of the Hon. Jeff B. Herron, effective March 1. Nominees Donald (Cory) Jackson of Ouray, Bennet Morris of Montrose and Keri Yoder of Telluride were selected by the commission on Feb. 2.
Under the Colorado Constitution, the governor has 15 days from Feb. 3 within which to appoint one of the nominees as district court judge for the Seventh Judicial District (Delta, Gunnison, Hinsdale, Montrose, Ouray and San Miguel counties).

Two of the four marijuana questions on the November ballot were narrowly approved by voters in the City of Delta. Measure 2F allows the establishment of medical marijuana centers. Measure 2H permits the establishment of medical marijuana cultivation, testing, research and manufacturing facilities.
