Julia Mae Hendricks died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016, at her home in Delta. She was 90.
A memorial service is set for 2 pm. Friday, Sept. 9, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Delta.
Mrs. Hendricks was born April 25, 1926, in Naylor, Mo., to George and Irene (Stacy) Cook. She was educated in the Naylor schools, then went to St. Louis to work. She returned home in 1943 and married Lynn Simmons. They had four girls and two boys. The marriage was dissolved.
She married Louis Simmons in St. Louis and they had two sons. The couple moved to Montrose, then after nine years moved to Delta. They lived in Delta for 12 years. They divorced.
She later married Fred Hendricks and they moved to Akron, where Mrs. Hendricks cared for her mother and stepfather, Frank Forbs. They died in 1989. After Fred's death, Mrs. Hendricks moved back to Delta.
She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Delta. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, canning and cooking.
She is survived by two sons, Tom Simmons of Delta and Alan Simmons of Spring Hill, Fla.; two daughters, Linda Ward of Delta and Constance Beason of Branson, Tenn.; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three husbands, two sons and two daughters.

On Dec. 2, officers of the Delta Police Department responded to a report of an assault. Officers spoke with a 64-year-old male with a bleeding injury on his neck.
