On June 22 the Relief Society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sponsored a women's community service day and potluck. They invited other women in the community to join and tackled several projects.
The Delta County Women's Connection is presenting "Conversations" every Saturday at 9 a.m. at Fairlamb Plaza at 3rd Street, a half block west of Main Street behind the Delta Area Chamber of Commerce office.
The current series, "Enough," has been created by Stonecroft Ministries to help women connect with others who are curious -- some skeptical -- about what Jesus and the Bible have to say concerning important areas in life.
Women who want to learn valuable outdoor skills and receive an introduction to hunting and fishing are invited to attend a "Cast and Blast" weekend workshop July 15-17, sponsored by Colorado Parks and Wildlife. The event will be held at the beautiful Jim Olterman/Lone Cone State Wildlife Area, located about 25 miles south of Norwood in western Colorado.
PEO Chapter BK is pleased to announce that Jennifer Jones has been awarded an ELF by the PEO International committee. The PEO Educational Loan Fund (ELF) is a revolving loan fund established in 1907 to lend money to qualified women students to assist them in securing a higher education.
PEO Chapter BK is pleased to announce that Kelsey Weaver has been awarded a $1,500 grant from the PEO Program for Continuing Education. This grant was established in 1973 as a need-based program providing one-time financial assistance to women whose education has been interrupted and who find it necessary to return to Colorado to complete a degree or certification that will improve their marketable skills for employment to support themselves and/or their families.
