The Kiwanis Club of Delta is hosting the second annual Deltarado Days disc golf tournament Saturday, July 28. Open registration is from 8 to 9 a.m. -- look for the booth on the red rock trail, just before the first tee box. The tournament begins at 9:30.
Competition will take place on the top-level course at Confluence Park, which has been given high reviews by those who have played there.
Entry is open to players of all skill levels and costs $15 per person. Prizes will be awarded. The Delta County Disc Golf Revolution will judge the tournament.
The Kiwanis Club of Delta has lined up 42 sponsors, including 20 businesses that have donated prizes for a raffle. In addition to raffle tickets, the club will be selling Mulligans for $1 each.
Funds raised from this tournament will help the Delta County Kiwanis Foundation support the community with an annual signature project, multiple local service projects and high school Key Club members with college scholarships, leadership training and attendance at state and national conventions.
Key Club is an international student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership.
For more information about the tournament, contact Richard Simmons at 970-399-3365 or Patrick Winner, president of Delta County Disc Golf Revolution, at 814-746-6168.
