Dec. 16:

Officers responded to the residence at 450 W. 6th Street for a disturbance. Donni Lee Morton, 37, of Cedaredge was taken into custody and transported to the Delta-Montrose County line where she was transferred to a Montrose Police Officer on a warrant out of Montrose.

An officer responded to the Highway 92 corridor in an effort to assist another agency with a possible hit and run incident. A possibly involved vehicle and driver were contacted.

An officer responded to a business in the 1400 block of Valley View Drive on a report of criminal mischief.

Officers responded to a residence on H Road for a welfare check.

Dec. 17:

Arrin Nicole Dennis, 38, of Delta was arrested and jailed on a no bond warrant.

Amanda Paige Henderson, 31, of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged improper signal, drove without a valid license and failure to present evidence of insurance. The uninsured vehicle was towed from the scene.

Dec. 18:

An officer responded to the alley in the 300 block of Palmer Street on a report of abandoned or possibly stolen property located in a shed.

Officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of Eaton Avenue where they contacted a runaway juvenile from another state. The 15-year-old male was taken into custody and charged with aggravated motor vehicle theft after a stolen vehicle was recovered at the scene.

An officer responded to Walmart, for a theft report. The property in question was located and returned to the owner.

Officers responded to a residence in the 600 block of Palmer Street for a civil standby.

Officers responded to a residence on E. 6th Street to assist with a medical problem.

Dec. 19:

Ronald Wesley Williamson, 56, homeless in Delta, was issued a ticket for alleged open burning restrictions.

Officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of Grand Avenue for a welfare check.

An officer responded to Raymond Jones Financial, 338 Main Street, on a report of fraud.

An officer responded to El-D-Rado Motel in reference to a possible trespass.

Chante Stephanie Martinez, 28, of Montrose was arrested and jailed on two warrants with a total $2,500 in bonds.

Dec. 20:

An officer responded to 790 1525 Road on a report of criminal mischief.

An officer responded to 1075 E. 5th Street on a report of auto theft.

An officer responded to Splish Splash Car Wash, 104 Main Street, for a burglary.

An officer responded to a residence in the 700 block of Dodge Street to assist with a medical emergency.

Officers responded to a residence in the 1400 block of Howard Street for a disturbance.

Officers responded to the 300 block of E. 14th Street to assist a motorist with a medical emergency.

Officers responded to the 200 block of Meeker Street for a fire in the alley. Delta Fire responded and put the fire out. No injuries were reported or observed and no damage to residences or other structures was located.

An officer responded to a residence in the 600 block of Meeker Street for a citizen assist.

Reminder: The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Dec. 17:

Deputies responded to an unattended death at a rural Delta address.

Deputies responded to a complaint about an aggressive dog on Green Valley Road near Cedaredge.

A request for prosecution was filed for a 15-year-old male juvenile who punched a hole in the wall at Gateway Youth Services.

Dec. 18:

Deputies investigated a possible restraining order violation in the Austin area.

A Delta area resident reported the theft of a game camera she had installed to watch for suspicious activity. The camera was valued at $100.

A visiting woman called to request assistance for her elderly grandfather. She said he won't eat, he may be suicidal and she had to get back home.

Dec. 19:

A Delta area woman reported her 16-year-old daughter was being harassed via text message.

A business owner reported the theft of a battery-powered chain saw from an employee's vehicle. The Stihl MSA200 chain saw is valued at $306; the AP300 battery is valued at $100.

A postal carrier reported that six mailboxes on Stearman and Saddle Mountin Lane near Crawford had been broken into.

Dec. 20:

At about 5:30 a.m., a business in Eckert reported a man was sleeping in his car in the parking lot. He had previously been told that was not allowed. Deputies contacted the individual to remind him he was allowed in the parking lot only during business hours.

A burglary was reported at a home on Highway 92 near Hotchkiss. Entry was through the back door. The owner is still determining if anything is missing.

An Orchard City resident received a call from a debt collector trying to obtain payment for a past due Verizon bill in excess of $1,000. The man told deputies he'd never used Verizon's services.

A Cedaredge area resident hit a cow with his car at about 7 p.m. The elderly driver and his passenger were not injured.

Deputies assisted the Colorado State Patrol with the arrest of an individual wanted in connection with vandalism in Mesa County. He also allegedly threatened an officer with a handgun. The man was stopped on Highway 50 at Dominguez Canyon Road.
