Deputies took a report of a vehicle stolen from an address on B50 Road, Delta.
A REDDI (Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately) report came in concerning a Chevy Tahoe traveling west on Highway 92 in the wrong lane of traffic. Deputies assisted the Delta Police Department with a traffic stop near Auto Zone. A K-9 sniff indicated the presence of narcotics. A search of the vehicle revealed hypodermic needles with an unknown substance and pouches containing suspected narcotics. Ronald Fitzgerrel was arrested for possession of Schedule II narcotics and driving under revocation.
Deputies assisted the Colorado State Patrol after a driver broke away from a traffic stop, got back in her vehicle and drove toward Delta at speeds exceeding 100 miles an hour. The trooper had identified the vehicle and also was still in possession of a driver's license belonging to Danielle Saxton, 30. She was later located and arrested by the Colorado State Patrol.
Three possible cases of fraud were reported, two in Cedaredge and one in Austin.
At about 8 p.m., deputies assisted the Colorado State Patrol with a single vehicle accident near the address of 21558 Uintah Road, Cedaredge.
At about noon, deputies responded to 30396 Redlands Mesa Road to assist the Colorado State Patrol with a one-vehicle, no-injury accident.
Deputies were asked to conduct a welfare check on the mother of a Leadville resident.
Deputies responded to a disturbance on Lamborn Mountain Lane near Paonia. They contacted two individuals who admitted they had fought, but neither wished to press charges. They agreed to separate for the night.
At about 6 a.m., deputies responded to a one-vehicle rollover accident on Highway 50 near mile post 56. A male driver trapped inside the vehicle required assistance getting out. He was transported to St. Mary's Hospital.
At about 8 a.m., deputies responded to Payne Siding Road in reference to a traffic accident involving a snowplow on its side. The driver was not injured; the snowplow sustained moderate damage. The Colorado State Patrol handled the investigation.
Deputies responded to a Delta area address for a male party who was reportedly making suicidal comments.
At about 8 a.m., deputies and the Delta Police Department responded to a traffic accident on Highway 50, mile marker 64. They found a passenger truck on its side. The driver was not injured. The Colorado State Patrol handled the investigation.
At 9:30 a.m., a traffic accident was reported on Highway 92 near Crawford. The driver sustained a neck injury; a passenger truck that landed on its side sustained moderate damage. The Colorado State Patrol handled the investigation.
The Delta County Sheriff's Office, Hotchkiss Marshal's Office and Colorado State Patrol responded to an address on Scenic Mesa Road in reference to an unconscious male slumped over the center console of his vehicle. He was found to be deceased. Suspected cause of death is accidental discharge of a firearm, but the investigation is continuing and an autopsy is pending.
Deputies investigated an assault at an address on Lamborn Mesa Road near Paonia.
Deputies contacted two individuals who were living under a bridge on 3400 Road near Hotchkiss. The two men, ages 25 and 34, were advised to move from the premises or be charged with trespass.
