Julie M. Brooks, 35, of Montrose was issued a summons for charges of theft.

Donald E. Watson, 41, of Montrose was arrested and jailed on charges of harassment, criminal mischief and child abuse as an act of domestic violence.
Citations: Ten tickets were issued this week for various traffic violations.

A 62-year-old Orchard City woman reported she'd been notified about a computer virus that could only be repaired by phone. She purchased gift cards totalling $4,000 to pay for repairs, then realized she'd been the victim of a scam.
Ralph and Jolie Clark of Crawford witnessed Adam Carela, 34, stealing a gas can from their property. He gave himself up willingly and waited for deputies to arrive. He was issued a summons for petty theft and criminal trespass.
An anonymous caller notified dispatch of an illegal burn at a tent on 1700 Road. Shawn Lewis, 33, was issued a summons for violating the county resolution prohibiting open fires of any type.
Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at a home on R Road, Cedaredge, at about 10 p.m. A warrant has been requested for Randy Autry, 44, after deputies determined there was probable cause to charge him with domestic violence, third degree assault and violation of a protection order.
A one-vehicle accident was reported near 14268 Happy Hollow Road at about 4:20 p.m. A red Chevy truck driven by a 17-year-old Cedaredge male went down an embankment. The driver told deputies he swerved to miss a tractor in the middle of the road. He was taken into custody by a Colorado State Patrol trooper on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
A deputy patrolling Highway 65 at about 10:30 p.m. spotted an illegal fire. Abraham Sabartinelli, 55, told deputies he was trying to get rid of a tree stump. He was issued a summons for violating the county resolution prohibiting open fires of any type.
A small child was found in the middle of Green Valley Road near Cedaredge at about 9:30 a.m. He was taken into a neighbor's home while his mother was located.
Three vehicles stolen from L&M Pick and Pull on Highway 65, Eckert, were recovered by deputies at an address in Peach Valley. Michael Lancaster, 38, and Andrew Poe, 26, both of Delta, were charged with aggravated motor vehicle theft, first degree trespass and criminal mischief (for damage to the vehicles and to property during the theft). Additionally Poe was charged with bail bond violations. They were transported to Delta County Jail.
At about 9 p.m., a rollover accident was reported on Forest Service land up Leroux Creek. The vehicle contained one female and two males, who were reportedly not injured. They all left the scene in another vehicle. Alcohol is being investigated as a possible factor.
A Paonia resident reported the theft of prescription medication from his vehicle while he was parked at a trailhead.
The theft of an air compressor, floor jack, exhaust pipes, antlers and other items from a yard on G50 Road, Delta, was reported. The problem is ongoing.
A warrant was issued for the arrest of Justin Brown, 25, of Delta after a domestic incident on Peach Valley Road. The victim suffered injuries to her face and right knee.
Shawn Lewis, 33, of Delta was charged with criminal mischief as an act of domestic violence after shattering a bedroom window at a home on 1700 Lane, Delta. Lewis was transported to Delta County Jail.
The election results are in at the local, state and national level, and as expected, Democrats are doing well in state and national races. Colorado has elected Jared Polis as governor; nationally the Republicans appear to retain control of the Senate while Democrats now control the House of Representative.
With a ballot full of local and state measures, voter turnout in Delta County topped 71%, with 15,889 ballots cast. Statewide, voter turnout was just over 52%.
Of the three Delta County residents seeking state offices, Matt Soper won over Thea Chase in State Representative Dist. 54; Mike Mason lost to Julie McCluskie in State Representative Dist. 61; and Olen Lund lost to Kerry Donovan in State Senate Dist. 5.
Locally, in the City of Delta voters rejected a .5% sales tax increase to fund recreation, as well as recreational marijuana sales. The sale of medical marijuana and cultivation/manufacturing facilities was approved by a slim margin. Delta voters also gave the city the green light to move forward with selling or trading the Cottonwood and Riverbend Park, and to sell the old Municipal Light and Power Building.
