March 1:

Officers responded to Salvation Army (parking lot) on a report of two people causing a verbal disturbance. Emalyn Kathryn Murphy, 28, of Montrose was arrested and jailed on two warrants with a total of $25,600 in bonds.

Officers responded to Maverik on a report of a disturbance. Tyler Anthony Saenz, 37, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and unlawful possession of a Schedule 2 controlled substance.

Emalyn Kathryn Murphy, 28, of Montrose was arrested and jailed for alleged criminal impersonation after she allegedly provided false information to officers during a report of a disturbance.

March 2:

Brandi Rae Pascoe, 31, of Delta was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $500 bond.

Officers responded to a residence in the 700 block of Dutton Street on a report of a window being "shot" out.

Ernesto Marcus Maldonado, 23, of Montrose was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $1,500 bond.

Joselyn Jo Kop, 30, of Montrose was arrested and jailed on four warrants with a total of $11,500 in bonds.

Officers responded to a disturbance in the 1300 block of Maple Way. Jesus Octavio Morales, 43, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged harassment as an act of domestic violence.

March 3:

Officers placed 72-hour notice to remove tags on numerous vehicles parked on city streets.

Officers and K9 Raico responded to a vacant residence in the 1000 block of E. 3rd Street for a possible trespass. Two adult women were located and advised not to return to the property.

March 4:

An officer responded to Colorado Lime Company, 1468 Highway 50, for a trespass.

Bank of the West reported receipt of a counterfeit $20 bill.

An officer responded to Delta High School on a report of two juvenile females in a physical altercation.

Officers responded to Lincoln Elementary School on a report of ATVs driving on the grass area of the playground. Marc Gonzalez, 19, of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged careless driving.

An officer responded to CB's Tavern on a report of suspicious activity.

An officer took a report of possible credit card "skimming."

Christian Ivan Valle Burgos, 35, of Montrose was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $300 bond.

Officers responded to the area of E. 10th Street and Bluff Street on a report of a possible trespass. Christian Ivan Valle Burgos, 35, of Montrose was arrested and jailed for alleged possession of a Schedule 2 controlled substance.

Officers responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Palmer Street on a report of a disturbance. Pamela Jean Sanchez, 57, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged violation of a restraining order.

Officers responded to a disturbance in Columbine Circle. Shirley Ann Reed, 51, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged unlawful possession of a Schedule 2 controlled substance.

March 5:

Officers responded to an alarm at Uptown Wines, 436 Main Street. They found a cracked store front window.

Lea Marie Trickel, 29, of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged false reporting to authorities.

March 6:

Officers responded to the 900 block of Vine Street on a report of a house fire. The residence was evacuated. No injuries were reported or observed.

Code enforcement responded to the area of W. 4th Street and Palmer Street on a report of dog running loose. Francisco Abeyta, 35, of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged running at large prohibited.

March 7:

A theft was reported from a residence in the 1200 block of Howard.

An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired license plates. Adam J Tucker, 35, of Craig was arrested and jailed for alleged drove motor vehicle with expired plate, uninsured motor vehicle, driving while license expired one year or less, violation of restricted license - interlock device, obstruction of vision, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of unlawful possession of a Schedule 2 controlled substance.

March 8:

Code enforcement responded to the 600 block of Dodge Street on a report of a dog running loose. Francisco Abeyta, 35, of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged running at large, rabies vaccination required, city animal license required and dog creating a nuisance.

Code enforcement responded to the 700 block of Dodge on a report of a dog running loose. Guadalupe Marie Verdeja Perez, 45, of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged running at large (second offense), rabies vaccination required and city animal license required.

March 9:

An officer responded to Western Convenience, 1502 S. Main Street, to assist Colorado State Patrol with a DUI investigation.

Criminal mischief was reported at a residence in the 2100 block of Pioneer Road.

A hit-and-run accident was reported at Main and 5th Street. No injuries were reported. A 16-year-old male driver of Montrose was issued a ticket for alleged following too closely, duty to report an accident with damages and duty to remain on the scene of an accident. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

Officers responded to a residence in the 1500 block of I Road on a report of an adult male having a medical emergency. Alan Scott Hawk Jr., 35, of Cedaredge was arrested and jailed for alleged unlawful possession of a Schedule 2 controlled substance.

Elise Francis Johnson, 33, of Delta was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $10,000 bond.

Christopher James Romo, 30, of Grand Junction was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $250 bond.

Reminder: The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.



From the Delta County Sheriff's Office (partial list):

March 6:

Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on Stingley Gulch Road near Hotchkiss. Charles Ware was arrested and charged with harassment, domestic violence, obstruction of telephone service, child abuse, assault in the second degree, and two counts of felony menacing, one for allegedly holding a gun to the victim's head and the second for allegedly threatening her with a knife.

A disturbance was reported at a residence on Vista Grande Drive, Austin.

A domestic violence incident involving a man with a knife reportedly occurred at a residence on Highway 92 in Crawford. As deputies approached the residence, the suspect reportedly ran from the scene, past North Fork Montessori@Crawford School, and up C Hill behind the school. Deputies pursued the suspect until they lost sight of him. During the pursuit, a CodeRed notification went out to the school and to area residents, advising them to shelter in place. The next day, the suspect, Dustin Key, 41, was spotted walking down Crawford Road. He was picked up by deputies and transported to Delta County Memorial Hospital where he was treated for exposure. Charges are pending.

March 7:

Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at an address on Highway 65 in Orchard City. Dante Slim was charged with third degree assault and domestic violence.

A burglary was reported at a residence on Highway 92 near Hotchkiss. A motor home was broken into, but nothing appeared to be missing. An air compressor and sawzall were reported stolen from a garage on the same address.

March 8:

Deputies conducted a welfare check on a Cedaredge area male who was making suicidal statements.

Deputies assisted the Hotchkiss Marshal's Office with a possible restraining order violation.

Deputies conducted a welfare check on a juvenile in the Hotchkiss area. The juvenile was found to be in good health.

March 9:

Deputies assisted the Colorado State Patrol with a single vehicle accident near the intersection of I Street and Highway 92 in Crawford.

At about 11:20 p.m., the sheriff's office received a missing persons report for individuals who had gone for an outing in either Escalante or Dominguez Canyon. The missing persons were found to be in good health by the Mesa County Search and Rescue team.

March 10:

Deputies responded to an address on F Road, Delta, on a report of a protection order violation and welfare check. Elliot Hanson was charged with two counts of violating a protection order after he reportedly sent text messages to the protected person.

Deputies received a report of possible gunfire at an address on Pumpkin Hollow Road near Paonia.
