Sylvester D. Sheetz, 77, of Eckert was issued a ticket for alleged limitations on backing after being involved in a two-vehicle crash in the Safeway parking lot (1510 Highway 92). No injuries were reported or observed. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
Jason R. Wyatt, 31, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged harassment.
Ariel E. Branum, 32, of Delta was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $500 bond.
Marlin Garcia-Perez, 36, of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged child abuse - simple.
William T. Craig Jr., 30, of Paonia was issued a ticket for alleged shoplifting.
Prudencio Carillo-Alvarez, 34, of Delta was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $300 bond.
Amber D. Colburn, 40, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged failed to obey a traffic control signal and DUI.
Michael S. Fancher, 44, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged harassment.
Justin T.E. Hiatt, 29, of Delta was arrested and jailed on 3 warrants with $11,500 total bonds.
Chanteele A. Gray, 21, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged disregarded a stop sign, failed to signal as required, DUI and DUI per se.
Jessica M. Cross, 28, of Cedaredge was arrested and jailed on two warrants with no bond and a third warrant with a $2,000 bond.
Sheila D. Carpenter, 53, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged unreasonable noise.
Citations: Nine tickets for traffic violations were issued this week, two for speeding.

A parking problem was reported by the Town of Crawford. Deputies determined unlicensed, unused vehicles were parked near, but not within, the public right-of-way.
Two Paonia men chased down and tackled a would-be auto thief after he was observed trying to steal a vehicle parked at the Paonia rodeo grounds. The two men held Fidencio Jaracutro-Perez, 31, of Delta until help arrived. Jaracuaro-Perez was transported to Delta County Memorial Hospital where he was treated for a shoulder injury before he was jailed. He is charged with first degree criminal trespass, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a restrained/revoked license (habitual traffic offender) and possession of an open alcoholic container in his vehicle. The vehicle Jaracuaro-Perez drove to Paonia had allegedly been stolen out of Ouray County earlier in the day.
Firefighters were dispatched to 828 1575 Road at about 3 p.m., for a van and camper that were engulfed in flames. The property owner was reportedly trying to start the van when it caught fire.
An agricultural burn on Wild Plum Lane, Hotchkiss, blew out of control at about 5:30 p.m. The blaze was extinguished by Hotchkiss firefighters, but not before a neighbor's hedge was damaged.
At about 6 p.m., deputies responded to a dog fight on Cactus Park Road, Cedaredge. A black lab was reportedly attacked when it wandered onto property occupied by two pit bulls that were initially contained behind an electric fence. The owner of the pit bulls has agreed to pay veterinary expenses for the black lab.
A 16-year-old Delta male was charged with driving under the influence of drugs (possibly marijuana) and weaving after deputies spotted his vehicle swerving over the center line and onto the shoulder. The juvenile was stopped at 1800 Road and Highway 92.
A Paonia resident reported his white Jeep Cherokee was vandalized at Volunteer Park.
Passing motorists reported someone appeared to be stealing parts off a vehicle parked in the vicinity of Highway 92 and Hidden Mesa Road. Deputies determined the complaint was unfounded.
At about 1 a.m., dispatch received numerous calls about loud explosions and "booms" in the area of 3400 Road and Scenic Mesa Road outside of Hotchkiss. An ATV was reported in the area, but the vehicle took off before deputies arrived on the scene. Investigation is ongoing into the loud noises.
At about 2 p.m., Olathe and Delta firefighters were dispatched to a fire along Roubideau Canyon Road, just past the Delta County line. It was determined a 78-year-old Cedaredge resident had started a campfire that got away from him. The blaze consumed an estimated four acres but no structures. The investigation was turned over to the Montrose County Sheriff's Office.
At about 7 p.m., two small brush fires were spotted near Crawford and K50 roads. The fires were extinguished by Paonia firefighters. There was no property damage; the cause is not known.
Two of the four marijuana questions on the November ballot were narrowly approved by voters in the City of Delta. Measure 2F allows the establishment of medical marijuana centers. Measure 2H permits the establishment of medical marijuana cultivation, testing, research and manufacturing facilities.
