I am deeply disappointed that Senator Don Coram is helping "shepherd" HB1032, Comprehensive Sex Education, in the Senate. From HB 1032: (b) However, human sexuality instruction must not explicitly or implicitly (I) teach or endorse religious ideology or sectarian tenets or doctrine; (II) use shame-based or stigmatizing language or instructional tools; (III) employ gender norms or gender stereotypes; or (IV) exclude the relational or sexual experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender individuals.
From HB 1262: The kindergarten educational programs must be a part of the public school system...
HB 1262 will offer the opportunity to push "comprehensive sex" to a really vulnerable age group. Apparently this bill is important enough to somebody to be worth 185 million taxpayer dollars a year. Then you have the progressive "insurance policy" HB 1129 (Prohibit Conversion Therapy for Minors) to prevent saner minds from interfering with the indoctrination, and HB 1120, on mental health treatment for 12-year-olds and up without parental notification. The public education system should not be used to invite the young and vulnerable to explore behaviors that lead to a much higher suicide rate.
From HB 1120: A registered psychotherapist or licensed social worker may, at a minor's request, provide psychotherapy services, as defined in Section 12-43-201 (9)(a), to a minor who is at least 12 years of age, but less than 15 years of age without the consent of the minor's parent or legal guardian.
Expect more home-schooling.
Then we have HB 1124 to make Colorado a sanctuary state, HB 1243 to let 16-year-olds vote on school issues, HB 1257 to eliminate the Taxpayers' Bill of Rights, HB 1261 for the Air Quality Control Commission to cut CO2 by 90 percent by 2050 (like the California AQCC which chased commercial bakeries out because rising bread emits CO2).
If we don't replace all the squishy "conservatives" as well as the progressives, it will end in collapse, both economic and social.
