The Lena Sammons Reed Scholarship is available to those who attended Crawford Elementary for a minimum of two years (last date of attendance is designated in the application information) and graduated from Hotchkiss High School. Applicants may be pursuing vocational, associate, bachelor's or master's degrees and beyond as full or part-time students. The scholarship checks are divided up and provided by semester to the institution successful applicants are attending.
During a preliminary hearing in Delta District Court on Tuesday, Jan. 15, Judge Steven Schultz found probable cause for second degree murder charges against Heather Jones.
Jones previously faced three counts in the shooting of Ryan Redifer in Paonia on Jan. 12, 2018 -- assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree and violation of a protection order.
