Delta County Libraries recently tackled the process of writing a strategic plan that will guide the direction and focus of our libraries for the next three years. The process began in July 2016 and the Library Board adopted a written strategic plan on Wednesday, Sept. 21. The plan includes an executive summary as well as goals and priorities in the areas of communications and outreach, personnel, facilities, technology, collections, library services and programs, and funding.
Many people dedicated their time, energy and effort to bring this plan from inception to completion, and it would not have been possible without their hard work. We would like to offer our sincerest gratitude to all of the library staff, board members, friends groups and community members that participated in the process. Their input was invaluable in understanding where we are today and where we would like to be in the future. The result of this collaboration can be viewed by visiting our website at http://www.deltalibraries.org/about/. We believe that Delta County Libraries plays a fundamental role in the health and well-being of our communities, and we are excited to continue to improve and build on what we are already offering!
