Storytimes. Storytimes for babies, tots and preschoolers are Thursdays starting at 10:30 a.m. April theme: A whim for STEM.

Google it! Find anything that you want to know just by searching for it on the internet. We will also go over You Tube tutorials. Friday, April 14, at 10:30 a.m.

Spring Book Sale. The Friends of the Cedaredge Library present their annual spring book sale at the Stolte Shed in Cedaredge. Saturday, April 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Please Eat the Daisies! This class, taught on Earth Day by Karen McCarville, will identify edible domestic flowers and wild edible "weeds." After the presentation, there will be a foraging walk along Surface Creek. Saturday, April 22, at noon.

Social Networking Class. This class will go over the different types of social networking websites, including Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat. Friday, April 28, at 10:30 a.m.

Teen Scene. Teens can come hang out and have fun with a super cool activity. Friday, April 28, at 4 p.m.

April StoryWalk®. "Have You Heard The Nesting Bird?" written by Rita Gray and illustrated by Kenard Pak will be on display at the Surface Creek Trail StoryWalk® during April.

April Maker Space. Ever wondered how your lungs work? We've created a workable "breathing machine" that you can experiment with to satisfy your curiosity. Come play! The month of April during library hours.

Tech Soup Saturday. Bring your devices and your questions. Our expert "techies" will do their best to answer your questions. Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Spring Card Making. Come to the Crawford Library and create your own Easter or springtime greeting card for a special friend or loved one. All supplies provided. Wednesday, April 5, through Saturday, April 15, during library hours.

Computer Tutor. Librarians will be available to help you with questions and problems about computers or mobile devices. Just drop in during regular library hours or call 399-7783 for a specific time.

Paperback Super Sale. Come to the Delta Library for a wide assortment of paperback books at rock bottom prices. Sponsored by the Friends of the Delta Library. Tuesday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Kids' Craft Day. Stop by the Delta Library and get crafty! April's theme: spring. Saturday, April 22, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Delta Book Club presents "Banks, Bullets and Bodies: A Failed Robbery in Delta, Colorado" by local author and museum curator, Jim Wetzel. Saturday, April 22, at 12:30 p.m.

Build a Bunny Scavenger Hunt. Bunny ears, eyes, nose, feet, front paws and other items well be hidden in the children's area. Build a bunny and take it home during the month of April.

Homework Help. Hey students! Do you need help getting organized, developing good study skills or reviewing an assignment? Schedule your one-on-one session today! Call the Delta Library at 874-9630.

Genealogy One-on-One. Get the help you need researching your genealogy in this ongoing class taught by Mickey Watts. Meets the second and fourth Monday of each month at 5 p.m.

Magic the Gathering. Tournaments every first Saturday at 10 a.m.

Hotchkiss Library Re-Opening. The Hotchkiss Library has new carpet and paint throughout and new shelves in the children's area. Come see the transformation for yourself!

Kite Building. Learn to build simple kites from easy-to-use materials. Wednesday, April 12, at 2 p.m.

Master Builder Club Final Party. Celebrate the conclusion of the Master Builder Club with this final party! Tuesday, April 18, at 3:45 p.m.

Hotchkiss Book Club. This book club meets third Thursday of every month in the Addams Room of Memorial Hall and is for adults. April's book club will discuss "Life on the Mississippi" by Mark Twain. Thursday, April 20, at 3 p.m.

Seed Saving From Your Own Garden. Interested in learning how to save seeds? Learn about how to plan your garden for growing your own seeds. You will walk away with ideas for planting your garden and the inspiration to save seeds. Thursday, April 27, at 5 p.m.

Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament. Thursday, April 13, at 4 p.m.

Knit Crochet Day. Enjoy the camaraderie of fellow knitters and crocheters, share projects and browse our library of craft books for use or purchase. Always tea and cookies, too! Saturday, April 15, at noon.

Spring Book Sale. The Friends of the Paonia Library present their annual spring book sale. Friday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, April 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.


2017 Summer Reading Program. Delta County Libraries is already gearing up for the 2017 summer reading program. This year's theme is "Build a Better World." Support is invited for this community-sustained program. Contact your local library or visit www.deltalibraries.org under "Support Your Libraries" then "2017 Summer Reading" to see how you can help.

Distance Learning Program. Do you need your high school equivalency but are unable to attend our classes? Delta County Libraries now has a distance learning program that offers participants the ability to work from home with an online program to prepare for the test. High School Equivalency Classes. Hotchkiss location meets at 397 Bulldog Street on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Call Julee at 970-201-8561 for information. Delta location meets at 360 E. 8th Street Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Call Beth at 970-209-9643 for information.
