Lily Lockhart continues to be in the limelight as she dominated in the shot put and discus events last weekend in Cedaredge. Lockhart chucked the shot put 43'2.25" to break Delta's Bryanna Music's old mark of 42'1" set back in 2014.

Lockhart spun the discus 126'9" to win that event easily with second place, more than 19 feet off the winning distance.

Second place finishes belonged to Kaley St. Peter in the 100m hurdles (17.29) and 300m hurdles (50.15).

The Panthers had no third or fourth place finishes in Cedaredge but managed to score 75 points to place fourth in the 17-team field.

An individual fifth-place finish went to Anha Richards in the 1600m run while Katalina Rodriguez accomplished the same finish in high jump. Richards also placed seventh in the 3200m run.

Delta's 1600m relay team (Madison Gieck, Kaitlyn Neely, Rodriguez and Beki Atchley) also placed fifth on Saturday.

Freshman Remi Baldwin was sixth in both the 100 and 300m hurdles, earning six points for the Panthers.

Sophomore Beki Atchley won her heat of the 400m dash and placed seventh overall in final standings. Freshman Remi Baldwin, sophomore Haley Curry, Rodriguez (junior) and St. Peter (sophomore) finished the 800 sprint medley relay in seventh place.

An eighth place finish went to Baldwin, Curry, Gieck and Rodriguez for their efforts in the 400m relay.

Delta participated in yesterday's (April 4) track meet in Grand Valley and has an off week before returning to the track in Glenwood Springs on April 15.
