LULAC chapters in Delta, Montrose and Olathe are planning a Cinco de Mayo Festival Saturday, May 5. A Monte de Rosas parade is planned at 10 a.m.; the festival will take place in Centennial Plaza from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The theme is "Celebrating Diversity."

High school students in grades 9-12 from Delta and Montrose counties are encouraged to apply for the royalty competition. Winners will be awarded a scholarship. Applications are available at: http://mhs.mcsd.org/our_school/clubs_and_organizations/l_u_l_a_c.

Vendors, community organizations and clubs can register for booth spaces, the car show competition, and/or parade participation by calling 970-249-6636 ext. 4300 or 970-252-7938.
