The 15,873-square-foot home built by rock and roll legend Joe Cocker and his wife Pam outside of Crawford recently sold for $3,875,000.
The seven-bedroom, nine-bath home was initially listed at $4,295,000. The home was built in 1994 and sat on 243 acres of land adjacent to thousands of acres of BLM land.
According to tax records, the Mad Dog Ranch was purchased by an LLC with a Santa Barbara, Calif., address.
The Cockers' furnishings, artwork and personal possessions were excluded from the sale.
A collaborative effort between the Delta County Sheriff's Office and municipal law enforcement agencies throughout Delta County has resulted in a proposal for a 1 percent sales tax increase to fund public safety. A PowerPoint presentation titled "Back the Badge" is starting to make the rounds at city/town council meetings, service club luncheons and other events.
