Margery Roby Millsaps Miller of Cedaredge died Nov. 15, 2016, at Paonia Care Center. She was 94.
A memorial service will be held at the Cedaredge Cemetery Saturday, Nov. 26, at 11 a.m.
Margery Roby was born in Fort Morgan Dec. 24, 1921, to Ward and Hazel (Plumb) Roby. She spent her early childhood in Fort Morgan before her family moved to Estes Park and Craig before settling in Cedaredge in 1935.
On June 10, 1944, she married James Richard Millsaps in Cedaredge. James served in the United States Air Force, so they moved to wherever he was stationed. They moved back to Cedaredge in 1961; Mr. Millsaps died on Nov. 4, 1963.
In July 1972, she married A.L. Miller in Cedaredge. He also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Miller enjoyed crocheting, gardening and reading. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Cedaredge and was involved in tending the nursery, the AWANA program, as a deaconess and teaching Sunday school for over 40 years.
She is survived by her five children, Patricia (Stephen) Tuck of Paonia, Donna Rohwer of Eckert, Alen (Janeen) Millsaps of Rock Springs, Wyo., Janet Stewart of Austin and Shirley (Lanny) Roberts of Texas; stepson, Carl (Debbie) Miller of Hotchkiss; a brother, Charles (Phyllis) Roby of Fruita; a sister, Alice (Dale) Morton of Grand Junction; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, James Millsaps and A.L. Miller; two sisters, Ada Nance and Dorothy Miller; three grandchildren, Emily Millsaps, James Stewart and LaDawn Rohwer-Armour; and two sons-in-law, Roger Rohwer and Thomas Stewart.
Memorial contribuitions may be made to Paonia Care Center, First Baptist Church AWANA program, or HopeWest.

During a preliminary hearing in Delta District Court on Tuesday, Jan. 15, Judge Steven Schultz found probable cause for second degree murder charges against Heather Jones.
Jones previously faced three counts in the shooting of Ryan Redifer in Paonia on Jan. 12, 2018 -- assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree and violation of a protection order.
