Brianna Morton, a 2016 Cedaredge High School graduate, is the recipient of a $1,000 Built Ford Tough scholarship offered through the National FFA scholarship program.
The daughter of Dennis and Stacy Morton of Cedaredge, Brianna plans to attend Colorado Mesa University. She would like to be a registered nurse.
Ford Motor Co. has provided the National FFA Foundation more than $10 million in scholarships since the introduction of the first F-Series truck in 1948. Only 536 scholarships were awarded this year by Ford Motor Co. Hellman Motor Company is the partnering Ford dealer in Delta County.
The Hotchkiss-Crawford Historial Society will host its annual meeting on Sunday, Feb. 17, at 2:00 at the Memorial Hall in Hotchkiss. There will be music, refreshments and a guest speaker, Robert Sibernagel. He is well known in the area as he writes regional history columns for The Daily Sentinel. He was formerly the editorial page editor for that paper for 19 years.
