Myron Becker died Jan. 27, 2017, at Olivia White House in Flagstaff, Ariz. He was 84.
He was born in Ulysses, Kan., Feb. 9, 1932, to Irvin and Adella Becker.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After being discharged, he started an apprenticeship as a journeyman lineman with Kansas Gas and Electric in Wichita, Kan. He worked many years for Arizona Public Service and then in Saudi Arabia during his career as an electrician. He was in Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm.
In October 1957 he married Joan Dirks. She preceded him in death in February 1998. They made their home in Flagstaff, Ariz.
He is survived by his sister, Pernie (Lester) Matthies of Cedaredge; children, Jeff (Rhonda) of Hotchkiss, Kris (Tammy), Bret and Joni (Chaz), all of Flagstaff, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Viewing at Norvel Owens Mortuary is on Feb. 3 from 10-11 a.m. Graveside services will follow immediately at Citizens Cemetery with military honors.
