DHS athletes recognized for academic success

Delta High School congratulates the following athletes for their academic success, as recognized by the Colorado High School Activities Association.

Juniors or seniors who maintained a GPA of 3.3 to 3.59 while participating in a CHSAA activity or sport received CHSAA Academic Honorable Mention:

Grant Freed, Odin Higgs, Nathan Workman, Jack Jones, Ku Moo, Haylin McCulloch, Martin Corral, Kalinn Komives, Felipe Bedoy, Carson Roithmayr, Madalyn Sandridge, Kendyll Siettman, Filippo Fornari, Rowyn Carmichael, Haylee Curry and Andrew Toole.

The CHSAA Academic All-State list, that was recently released, includes juniors and seniors who maintained a GPA of 3.6 or higher while participating in a CHSAA activity or sport: Gauge Lockhart, Olivia Santonostaso, Sarah Bules, Mairany Jaracuaro, Skyler Kraai, Sara Geddes, Jaren Reece, Amanda Cotton, Hana Hollenbeck, Evan Baier, Madison Gieck, Hunter Hughes, Ben Cooper, Colby Wilson, Saif Alqaderi, Tyler Neil, Jason Violett, Jose Medina, Caleb Frazier, Claire Corbasson, Reagan Clay, Sami Lane, Lauren Davey, Kaley St. Peter, Andrew Baier, Sameha Haque, Beki Atchley, Eli Farmer, Missa Webb, Joe Bules, Jenna Sutliff, Shoshana Vigil, Lynette Arias, Ana Jurca, Abby Carlson, Kyle Mock, Ashley Lahoe, Betty Hofmanova, Trevor Whiteside, Caleb Miramontes, Shianne Valdez, John Ames, Trevor Myers, Mimi Lousignont, Makayla Kortz, Alyssa Trujillo, Pascalina Earley, Angelica Armari and Blake Naranjo.

CHSAA also recognizes teams with an average GPA of at least 3.5. This year, CHSAA had six teams make CHSAA Team Academic All State:

Volleyball (team GPA 3.83) -- Mimi Lousignont, Kaelynn Porter, Abby Carlson, Raelee McCurdy, Jillian Carlson, Madi Gieck, Lauren Davey, Sara Geddes, Julia Mewhinney, Haylin McCulloch, Hannah Sterns, Erika Kuta, Olivia Santonastaso, Lily Tindall, Kayla Miller, Autumn Eddy, Carisa Rhines, Alyssa Bayles, Alli Davis, Tayler Huntley, Ariana Avilee, Melana McCormick, Mia Yost, Kenadee Curry, Emilie Cardenas and Baili Hulet

Boys' golf (team GPA 3.71) -- Atley Harris, Ben Cooper, Ryan Coopeer, Grant Freed, Brendan Baier, Evan Baier, Ethan Kappal, Keagan Ertel-Moraliez, Jack Loveland, Logan Schuster, Zachary Kuta, Joe Bules, Zack McCormick, Isaac Chavez and Tyler Deuschle.

Softball (team GPA 3.57, league champs, regional champs, final four) -- Jenna Sutliff, Shianne Valdez, Sami Lane, Alyssa Trujillo, Makayla Kortz, Desiree Garcia, Hailee Ruble, Keely Porter, Reagan Clay, Tatum Saddoris, Teja Smith, Ashley Lahoe, Amanda Cotton, Elena Hancock, Chloe Sanchez, Keslie Sandoval, Cylie Wilkerson, Shania Garcia, Haylee Burwell, Kayla Gisoldi, Hali Tolka, Aiden McFarland, Angelina Ortega, Katlyn Garcia and Caitlynn Carlquist.
