After a five-month hiatus from skyrocketing COVID-19 cases nationwide, the Cedaredge Community Band has officially returned.
The band’s leader, Grady Weiszbrod, reached out to his group on March 19 with the news.
The first practice after the long break was Monday, April 5. Practices will continue every Monday at 7 p.m. The specifications of the next concert is unknown at this time but will likely take place this spring or summer.
The rehearsals will continue to take place at True Life Church in Cedaredge, as the group has been given the green light by Pastor Bob Hillyer.
A select few members of the band reported back that they will not be attending at this time out of caution of COVID conditions, but the decision to return was met with agreement otherwise.
Members of the community (not limited to Cedaredge) are invited to reach out if interested in becoming part of the Cedaredge Community Band.
Weiszbrod can be reached at 970-856-1063 with questions.
