Despite a year tainted by the COVID-19 pandemic, Delta County faired better than average as far as revenue was concerned, as previously reported by the DCI.
The City of Delta’s finalized sales and use tax revenue numbers reflect this claim appropriately, as 2020 turned out about 7.3% more revenue than 2019. Each month except January and September saw an increase from the year before.
The recorded sales and use tax numbers from 2019 and 2020 are as follows:
January 2019: 611,751; January 2020: 608,003
February 2019: 430,065; February 2020: 470,811
March 2019: 427,046; March 2020: 458,490
April 2019: 558,014; April 2020: 577,813
May 2019: 464,915; May 2020: 522,666
June 2019: 511,827; June 2020: 573,906
July 2019: 553,977; July 2020: 650,686
August 2019: 525,519; August 2020: 563,002
September 2019: 539,788; September 2020: 510,230
October 2019: 559,048; October 2020: 631,243
November 2019: 551,769; November 2020: 585,632
In sales and use tax, the City of Delta collected a total of $5,733,719 in 2019 and a total of $6,152,482 in 2020, making for a $418,763 increase from 2019 to 2020.
