July 21:

Code enforcement picked up an intact female adult dog in the 700 block of 1400 Lane after it was running loose and attacking other dogs in the neighborhood. Jennifer Lee Davis, 38, of Delta was issued a ticket for rabies vaccination required, animal license required, running at large prohibited, female animals in heat and vicious animals.

July 22

An officer responded to Delta County Memorial Hospital on a report of illegal possession of a controlled substance (illicit drugs).

Officers responded to a residence in the 600 block of Silver Street on a report of a dog bite. Sylvia Marie Fantin, 32, of Delta was issued a ticket for vicious animal.

July 23:

An officer responded to Tractor Supply Company on a report of theft.

Officers responded to the intersection of East 3rd Street at Riley Lane on a report of a two vehicle crash. No injuries were reported or observed. Mark Edward Stoddard, 59, of Delta was issued a ticket for failing to yield right of way to oncoming traffic. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

An officer took a report of fraud.

Wendell Christopher Harmon, 43, of Delta was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $400 bond.

Officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of Howard Street on a report of harassment. Philip Zakery Hoffman, 29, of Delta was arrested and jailed for harassment as an act of domestic violence.

July 24:

Taylor Marie Csere, 30, of Delta was issued a ticket for rabies vaccination required, city animal license required and running at large prohibited.

Jake Kramer Davis, 31, of Delta was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $300 bond.

An officer took a report of an alleged "porch pirate" theft in the 700 block of Meeker Street.

Officers responded to the top of 3rd Street Hill on a report of a fight in progress. Later, Raeona Elizabeth Peraza, 35, of Delta was arrested and jailed for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, harboring a minor, child abuse, violation of a protection order and obstructing a peace officer.

Adam Walter Chriestenson, 41, of Delta was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $3,000 bond.

Raeona Elizabeth Peraza, 35, of Delta was arrested and jailed for driving while license revoked - refusal and failed to present evidence of insurance.

July 25:

Officers responded to Delta Ace Hardware on a report of a shoplifter leaving the store. The vehicle was stopped on Crawford Avenue. Stephanie Lynn Hall, 36, of Olathe was issued a ticket for shoplifting. Stephanie Jo Howell, 39, of Bakersfield, Calif. was issued a ticket for owner operated uninsured motor vehicle and expired license plates.

An officer responded to the 1400 block of Highway 50 on a report of a two vehicle crash. No injuries were reported or observed. Nicanore Emilo Trujillo, 84, of Delta was issued a ticket for careless driving. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

Frank Salazar, 50, of Delta was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $400 bond.

A warrant was issued for Adam Walter Chriestenson, 41, of Delta for alleged harassment as an act of domestic violence, violation of a protection order and violation of bail bond conditions.

Eric Adam Malinowski, 35, of Delta was arrested and jailed for violation of a protection order.

Paul Brydon Haining, 42, of Naturita was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $3,000 bond.

July 21:

An officer took a report of possible child abuse/neglect.

Kyler Samuel Lee Mason, 21, of Delta was arrested and jailed on three warrants with a total of $3,500 in bonds.

Officers responded to a residence at Alta Vista de-la-Montana Housing Complex on a report of a disturbance. Justin Ray Ritter, 29, of Delta was arrested and jailed for third degree assault as an act of domestic violence, violation of a protection order, tampering with a motor vehicle, child abuse, resisting arrest and obstruction of government operations.

July 27:

Officers responded to Four Season River Inn on a report of an adult male in active heroin overdose. Medical treatment was administered and the male was transported to Delta County Memorial Hospital by Delta County Ambulance for additional treatment.

Officers responded to the area of East 4th Street and Meeker Street on a report of a disturbance. Shawn William Wilks, 32, of Delta was issued a ticket for third degree assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Officers responded to a residence in the 1200 block of Grand Avenue on a report of a disturbance and theft. John Douglas Carr, 45, of Delta was arrested and jailed for violation of a protection order.

July 23:

Deputies received a report of a harassment in Paonia.

A deputy provided agency assist for a hit and run accident.

Deputies received a report of an assault on Fruitgrowers Road in Orchard City. The reporting party advised he was struck to the ground and his phone was taken away from him before the suspect fled the scene.

A theft was reported in the 3000 block of 1600 Road in Delta.

July 24:

Kimbralea Freeman, of Hotchkiss, was arrested and jailed on a bond of $300.

Deputies received a call of a burglary in the 18000 Block of B Road in Delta.

Duayne Yates of Fruita was arrested and jailed on a bond of $1,000.

Daniel Joseph Winter of Delta was arrested on a Colorado State Patrol - Montrose warrant for failure to appear and jailed on a bond of $1,200.

Christina Woolery, of Grand Junction, was jailed on a bond of $2,500 after being transported from Mesa County on a warrant for failure to appear.

A deputy was requested for agency assist with the Delta Police Department on a call regarding a possible kidnapping. The deputy checked multiple locations with no sign of the vehicle reported or anyone associated who made the call. The matter remains under investigation by the Delta Police Department.

July 25:

Sheila Sanders, of Delta, was arrested for trespassing and harassment.

Stephanie Roseler, of Grand Junction, was arrested for several outstanding warrants.

Deputies received a call of an assault in the 100 Block of South 7th Street in Hotchkiss.

During a traffic stop, a deputy yielded a drug violation for Clinton Floyd of Hotchkiss who was issued a summons for his charges.

July 26:

A deputy provided an agency assist in regards to a wanted person, who was not located.

Deputies were first on scene for a trailer fire on Highway 50 at mile marker 52. Delta Volunteer Fire Department and the Colorado State Patrol assumed primary investigation of the incident.

Edward King was issued a citation for driving without a valid driver's license.

July 27:

The Sheriff's Office K9 Unit conducted a public relations event at Confluence Park during Deltarado Days. A meet and greet was held, photos autographed, and a K9 demonstration was performed.

The Sheriff's Office K9 Unit performed an illegal narcotic/controlled substance sniff in the A Pod area of the Delta County Jail. K9 Oxx indicated on a couple of areas.

Nicholas Andress, of Paonia, was apprehended as a wanted male subject in Hotchkiss. Upon apprehension, he was placed into custody and transported to the Delta County Jail on a Delta County Sheriff's Office warrant.

July 28:

Teresa Stave was arrested and booked for violating a protection order.

The Delta Sheriff's Office took a theft report that occurred near a lake on Grand Mesa. A .45 caliber handgun was reported stolen from a vehicle while its owner was fishing.
