The Western Slope Conservation Center will host a workshop with Colorado Greywater’s Avery Ellis from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, in Paonia. Colorado Greywater owner Avery Ellis, is a sustainability specialist and ecological designer focusing on designing sustainable ecosystems that serve humanity through natural processes. “Greywater” includes gently used water from bathroom sinks, showers, tubs and washing machines that hasn’t come into contact with feces, either from the toilet or from washing diapers.
The informal hands-on laundry-to-landscape systems workshop covers how to install a greywater system, how to reuse water from sink, shower, tub and washing machine, and hands-on system installation to make the most of home water resources.
