Aug. 4

Jose Gutierrez, 52, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for incest with a minor. Bond is set at $15,000.

DCSO participated in the search and rescue of two females lost on the Grand Mesa.

Aug. 5

A deputy responded to the report of littering in the 4000 block of Old Wagon Road, Delta. Two bags of trash were discovered.

A deputy took a complaint of mail theft in the 20000 block of Plateau Drive, Austin.

A deputy responded to the Hitching Post Hotel in Crawford for a report of a domestic violence incident. James Hillard, Jr., 30, was charged with second degree assault, domestic violence, criminal mischief and obstruction of telephone service.

Charles Ware, 32, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and booked in the Delta County Jail with a bond of $2,500.

DCSO took a report of theft from an address in the 29000 block of Highway 92, Hotchkiss. No suspects at this time.

Aug. 6

David Waddington, 23, was taken into custody for vehicular eluding, obstruction of government operations and other traffic offenses. He was a fugitive from justice with two warrants.

DCSO took a report of theft of a package in the 29000 block of Highway 92, Hotchkiss.

Carl West, 27, was arrested for driving with his license revoked, violation of a protection order and possession of a controlled substance. Suspected methamphetamine was located in the vehicle.

DCSO responded to a report of guns being taken from a motorhome in May.

Justin Richard Fresquez was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. Bond is set at $7,500.

Aug. 7

A DCSO court security officer contacted Chevelle Mercilliott, who had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. Due to the arrest standards in place, Mercilliott was asked to contact the Delta County Courts for a new court date, which would take care of the warrant.

Aug. 8

DCSO assisted Colorado State Patrol with locating a vehicle involved in a traffic complaint.

Aug. 9

A deputy was advised of criminal mischief in the 17000 block of 2550 Road, Cedaredge.

Deputies responded to the 14000 block of 2600 Road, Cedaredge for a suspicious incident/report of a man standing outside the reporting party’s kitchen window.
