Dec. 17

The Delta County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a fire in Old Cannery off Highway 348, Delta. The reporting party called dispatch advising there was a fire.

The Delta County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 21000 block of F Road, Delta in reference to a domestic violence incident. Zachary Hooker was taken into custody and booked into the Delta County Jail.

Dec. 18

Deputies responded to a medical call in the 7200 block of 1800 Road, Delta. A patient was transported to the hospital and Cody Ditmore was taken into custody for active arrest warrants.

Deputies arrested Christina Johnson near Delta for an outstanding warrant. Johnson was booked into the Delta County Jail without incident.

A deputy arrested Shyleena Betoney on a Delta Police Department warrant for failure to appear at the Delta County Court this date. Bond is set at $300.

The Delta County Sheriff’s Office (court security officer) dealt with an intoxicated male in County Court. A PBT was administered and his case was reset.

The Delta County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Charles Ware, who was a fugitive from justice, while at the Delta County Courthouse, and transported him to the Delta County Jail for booking.

The Delta County Sheriff’s Office (court security officer) arrested Pablo Chairez, 25, on an outstanding failure to appear warrant out of Mesa County and placed him in the Delta County Jail.

Dec. 19

The Delta County Sheriff’s Office (Court Security Officer) arrested John Hanley, 53, on an outstanding failure to appear warrant and placed him in the Delta County Jail.

Deputies from the Delta County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Delta County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a possible stolen license plate, which occurred on Highway 50 at the Escalante pullout. The license plate has been entered into NCIC/CCIC as stolen.

Delta County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 10000 block of 3200 Road, Hotchkiss for a structure fire. Delta County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to this location, finding a single family dwelling moderately involved at arrival. All occupants of the home safely evacuated prior to the arrival of emergency services. The cause of the fire at this time appears to be an electrical issue, and the home was deemed a total loss.

Dec. 21

Deputies responded to the area of 3100 Road and Lazear Road for a reported fence in the roadway. This address is located in the Town of Lazear, County of Delta, State of Colorado. The fence was removed from the roadway. It appeared a vehicle had struck the fence. No vehicle was found in the area. This information was transferred to Colorado State Patrol.

Deputies received a report of a civil problem involving custody of a horse. At this time, deputies are unable to determine who the horse belongs to. The reporting party was advised to contact the brand inspector for further assistance.

Dec. 22

A deputy received a phone through Delta County Dispatch involving a civil dispute between a husband and wife. The wife involved claims the husband removed property from the residence while she was away for the weekend.

A deputy arrested Dean Miller, 21, on a Delta Municipal warrant for failure to appear at the Delta County Jail this date. Bond is set at $300.

Delta County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 600 block of Dogwood Avenue, Crawford for a suspicious call. Upon arriving at this location, deputies contacted the reporting party, who advised they had heard three gunshots spaced out, then heard what they believed to be shot gun pellets raining down on their roof. Deputies patrolled the area, but were unable to locate any potential suspects.
